Overview
Blackwoods Screw Dock is a historic ship-lifting dock on Bridgetown’s waterfront. Completed in 1893, its rows of large screws were used to raise vessels for hull cleaning and repairs. The surviving basin and machinery form part of the city’s maritime heritage, near the old warehouses and sugar bonds.
