About ratings, reviews and paid links
The Google score and count shown here are an imported snapshot, not live Google data or reviews submitted to BIM ONE. A missing score means no score is recorded here. Featured placement is not a customer rating. Links labelled sponsored or affiliate may earn BIM ONE a commission; that does not establish availability or a confirmed reservation.
Overview
Gun Hill Signal Station stands on the high ground of Saint George, with views across the eastern, southern and western parts of Barbados. Built in 1818, it formed part of a network that relayed shipping information and other signals, including time and hurricane warnings. The Barbados National Trust restored the station in 1982. Military memorabilia displayed behind the signal tower helps explain its former role, and Fusiliers Bar & Cafe is located at the site.
