Standing dynamically outside the northeastern entrance gates of the historic Kensington Oval, the Reverend Sir Wesley Winfield Hall Statue is an outstanding tribute to one of cricket’s greatest fast-bowling titans and legendary statesmen. Sculpted out of solid bronze by local Bajan artist Jason Hope and unveiled on November 30, 2020, this towering 8-foot monument perfectly captures Sir Wes Hall captured mid-action in his iconic, fierce delivery stride. Beyond his fearsome athletic career for the West Indies team from 1957 to 1969, the monument honors his monumental second acts as a dedicated Christian minister, a Barbados Senator, and a Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Sport
