01 / ABOUT US

For the cats who need a second chance. And the people who care about them.
Safe Cats of Barbados is a volunteer-run, donation-funded charity supporting vulnerable cats through rescue, veterinary care, rehabilitation and rehoming.
Wendy and Barbara founded the organisation with a shared commitment to humane, sustainable care. Today, that work reaches from individual cats to whole colonies, with practical support for communities, property owners and the people who look after them.
Responsible pet ownership, education and Trap Neuter Return are all part of the same vision: a more compassionate Barbados.
02 / TRAP NEUTER RETURN
Humane population management starts with caring for the cats already here.
Cats are humanely trapped so they can receive care. Safe Cats helps people caring for community colonies plan the process.
Sterilisation and basic veterinary care help prevent further litters and support the welfare of the colony.
Cats return to their established territory. Ongoing feeding, observation and colony care support a sustainable approach.
Looking after a colony near your home or business? Ask Safe Cats about assessment, advice and TNR support.

03 / HOSPITALITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME
A thoughtful approach to the community cats who share your property.
Hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants and tourism properties can enquire about Safe Cats’ Community Cat Management Programme.
Income from the programme is reinvested in community TNR projects across Barbados, extending care beyond the participating property.

05 / DONATE
Volunteer power keeps this mission moving. Donations help make the care possible.
Help support treatment, recovery and sterilisation.
Food, litter and supplies keep cats cared for day after day.
Support rescue and the work of finding suitable homes.
Payments go through the charity’s published donation channels. BIM ONE does not collect donations here.

06 / FLIGHT BUDDIES
One journey. One very special passenger.
Cats with homes waiting in the USA need flight escorts from Barbados to JFK or Boston. Safe Cats says it arranges the carrier and paperwork, meets you at the airport and coordinates arrival support, with no cost to the escort.
Share your travel plans with the team to confirm current routes, eligibility and arrangements. The charity also assists visitors interested in taking a cat home.
