Overview
Tamarind is a family-friendly Autograph Collection all-inclusive resort at Paynes Bay on Barbados’ west coast. Marriott announced its reopening after refurbishment on 22 September 2026. Rooms and suites have a private balcony or patio, with views depending on the category. The resort combines beachfront dining with swimming pools, an adults-only relaxation pool, a fitness centre, a spa and children’s activities. Dining includes Sugar Cane, 246 Restaurant Bar and Harvest & Hive Coffee Shop. Confirm current facilities and your chosen rate directly, as Marriott is still updating parts of the property website.
Confirm the exact room or unit, total price, cancellation terms, check-in and transport before booking.

Before you go+
Reopening and booking: Marriott’s 22 September 2026 announcement records the resort’s reopening. The current property site uses Autograph Collection branding but warns that information and images are being updated. Confirm availability and operating facilities for your dates on +1 246-432-1332.
Arrival: Check-in is 3:00 pm; checkout is noon. Guests checking in must be at least 18, but the resort welcomes all ages. Parking is free and pets are not allowed. The hotel lists no airport shuttle.
Families: Children’s activities and a teen space are advertised. Confirm the current children’s programme, eligible ages and supervision arrangements directly. The adults-only relaxation pool is a separate facility within this family resort.
Rates and levy: Meals and drinks are included in the all-inclusive offer. The rooms page lists a separate US$9.73 levy per room per night, payable at checkout, with Marriott Bonvoy redemption bookings exempt. Confirm this against the final quote, including deposit and cancellation conditions.
Activities and extras: Watersports, fitness facilities and yoga/Pilates are advertised. Ask which activities, equipment and lessons your rate covers, especially motorised watersports. Confirm spa, tour, laundry and transport charges before arranging them; Marriott’s property pages contain conflicting inclusion wording.
Dining: Current listings include Sugar Cane for breakfast, 246 Restaurant Bar for lunch and dinner, and Harvest & Hive for coffee and pastries. Ask the resort which venues are operating, whether reservations are needed and how dietary requirements are handled.
Other resorts: Dine Around requires advance arrangements through the front desk. Confirm eligible venues and any supplement. West Coast water-taxi service is daytime and weather-dependent; it does not serve Turtle Beach. The House excludes sister-hotel dining visitors, and Treasure Beach admits adults only.
Accessibility and rooms: Ask reservations to confirm the exact accessible-room features and routes you need. Room photographs are currently labelled illustrative, so obtain confirmation of the booked room’s layout, view and facilities before relying on images.
Listing updated 1 October 2026.
